RE: SBI Share Giveaway

in #sbi6 years ago

Hi, i'm not sure i fully understood. So are you part of SBI or are you affiliated with it ? And if second option, what's the difference ?

I'm asking that because i have delegated 20 SP - i know is not a lot but that was my best. So i'm thinking to undelegate as not much in terms of rewards seem to come my way at all.
You are saying there are Tiers for certain amount of SP delegated. For that matter i'm asking you: is there any other Tier for smaller SP delegations ? As the way i see, you can only make money when you have money; but what about the minnows that are at the begining and what to help but also need a push ?

So i don't know whether to undelegate or to keep the delegation. I think the idea of SBI is fairly good, but it applies more to those who already have some SP or STEEM bought in. But minnows.. god help them - i think it should be ways to help the minnows more than what they are now . Please let me know your thought process . Cheers

It's refreshing to see someone who sees the light. SBI pays out just 1 cent per 4 shares. Each share costs 1 steem. Do the math and see how long it will take to earn back the 1 steem paid into the program. Keep in mind that as more and more people sign into SBI, the number of votes made must increase, meaning the percentage allotted to each vote MUST decrease. The income you earn will NEVER grow, but it could suddenly stop when the person who invented the idea figures they made enough money or they die for some reason. You are probably far better off doing what the platform asks you to do: interact with others and vote on each other!

@happyme, it's refreshing to see someone seeing the light haha. I keep wondering quite often whether or how much this community initiatives actually help, or anything that is promoted to help (and not just on the platform) . There's always a catch as that saying is, right?

Anyway, how are you doing today? Are you happy? :P

Yes, I'm happy! It was a good day today. Wonderful weather and I got some gardening done and had fun playing some games on-line.

I've been on steemit for just over a year now and I think I have a pretty good understanding of how things work around here. There are a few people who recognize the fact that in order to have Steem be worth anything, there must be buy-in by many people. This means that the environment must be such that people WANT to participate. Unfortunately, there are more greedy people than those who actually care about the growth of the platform itself. It is these greedy people that try to scam others, create spammy posts in an attempt to get as much as they can as fast as possible, and devise schemes to rape the reward pool. However, there are still a fair number of people who care about the growth of the platform and want to help those starting out to grow their accounts. Others are simply kind people who want to help others and share the wealth. Just like out in the physical world, there are all types of people, each with their own motives. It is up to the individual to assess the value of each proposition and decide if it is something they support or not. I know for a fact that there is not ALWAYS a catch. I have been blessed by a couple of kind people who helped my account grow considerably and now I wish to pay it forward.
