ARIZONA WILL PROTECT BITKOIN-NOD OPERATORS FROM LARGE ATTENTION OF LOCAL AUTHORITIES[↻50%]
The Arizona House of Representatives passed a bill prohibiting city and county authorities from taking any restrictive measures against people who have in their private homes installed bottlenecks and other crypto-currencies. This is reported by CoinDesk.
Bill 2602, which was introduced by Republican Jeff Vanninger on February 6, was adopted on Tuesday with 55 votes in favor, with five against. Now the document will be forwarded to the Senate for further consideration.
As they say in the text of the bill, the activities of operators of nodes is an issue that is important for the whole state, and therefore it can not be subject to further regulation of local authorities.
The document does not mention crypto currency leverage, focusing specifically on protecting individuals who use the computing power of computers to validate or encrypt transactions on the blockroom.
It should be noted that this is not the first initiative of Arizona lawmakers in the field of crypto-currency. So, earlier this month, with the submission of all the same Veninger in the state, a bill was approved permitting the payment of taxes using bitcoin.
In April 2017, Arizona also adopted a historical law on smart contracts and blocking technology, legalizing digital signatures created using blocking technology, as well as smart contracts.
