Telegram announced a secret pre-sale of cryptocurrency project TON[↻70%]
The messenger Telegram has launched a second secret pre-sell cryptocurrencies Gram before conducting a public offering of tokens (ICO) project TON. It is reported by the Verge, citing its own sources.
According to the publication, e-mails notifying the beginning of the pre-sale have already received accredited investors, including such giants of Silicon valley as Sequoia Capital and Benchmark.
The amount of estimated revenue is not reported. The sides of The Verge claim that the Telegram hopes to raise $1.6 billion before the public ICO.

Earlier it became known that a Telegram messenger reported to the Commission on securities and stock exchanges of the USA (SEC) about raising $850 million from 81 investors.
That Telegram is planning to launch its own cryptocurrency, it became known in January. It was also noted that Pavel Durov does not seek to attract Russian funds.
