Are SBDs being intentionally supported at $10?

in #sbd6 years ago

Ever since SBDs first went over $10 about a week and a half ago, the price has rarely dipped below it.

We got even more evidence of that last night when the price briefly dipped below $10 only to shoot right back up above it.

Why is the price being supported like this when it is supposed to be a pegged currency?

Is this really being done by over exuberant South Korean retail investors or is this being done more intentionally?

At first I thought it was just mom and pop in South Korea buying in, but now with the support the price is showing, it is starting to look more like something that is intentionally being supported.

Perhaps for another run?

Or perhaps to support steemit.com?

I can't say for sure, but either one sounds pretty good to me.

Its great for the active users. Even my posts earning a dollar are now valuable. Im buying steem with it but still a great option to have.

Yep, hopefully it holds up here for months. Pretty easy to grow the platform with payouts this high.

I will say it is an improvement from the $1. It is also a great incentive for newbie, getting value for small sweat.

Yes, but do the newbies know it is worth 10x the amount it shows on steemit? My guess is they do not.

Wow @zoneboy. You nailed it. I'm in South Korea now. Ironically the Korean ancestor by tradition is originally a bear that turned human after eating garlic and mugworts for a month in a cave.

What does this mean?
