The New SBC Contest's Rules
I'm making some changes to the rules of the SBC contest
With all the things going on and my day still being just 24 hours long, I've decided to make some changes that will allow me to run these contests with less administrative headaches.
The Prize Structure
Instead of the liquid post's earnings plus the guaranteed prize of 1 SBD, from now on the reward will be at least 1 SBD. I believe that my posts' earnings here will be enough to finance it without looking for an outside sponsorship. If my earnings increase, so will the prize.
This will enable me to pay out the members that made a profit a few hours after the last game of the contest finishes, instead of waiting seven days for the post to get paid out.
All the members that make a profit with their picks will get an equal share of the prize. Unlike the monthly prize, where the members will get a percent of the prize proportional to the profitability of their picks.
The monthly prize will be at least 6 SBD and is sponsored by @stimp1024, but he didn't stop there. He has given our members an opportunity to increase the reward they will get by placing the sbc bet made of our picks. Once the bet wins, he will donate 50% of its winnings to the prize pool.
To qualify for the monthly prize, a member has to enter at least 50% of the contests during the month in question and make a profit with his or her picks.
The New Deadline
The SBC bet is the reason why I'm introducing the new deadline. We need to submit our picks on time so that @stimp1024 has enough time to place the bet.
From now on, you will have to enter the contest before 8:00 AM UTC on the day that the first match is playing. As an example, this Thursday I'll publish the SBC Contest #3. You have to submit your picks by Friday 08:00 AM.
Since I'm publishing the contest's post day before, that will give you ~24h to enter the contest.
