Why You Should Say No

Let’s be honest, people don’t like to be told no.

But we’ve got to tell people no. If we don’t, that just means we don’t have any standards and you don’t value your time because that’s what you’ll ultimately lose out on when you’re a slave to everyone else’s time.

Think about the people that are successful and think about what they do with their time and compare them to the average joe, the difference is big and wide. If you’re watching tv and playing video games all day, you wonder why you’re scraping pennies.

The man that’s eating and thriving is the man that says yes to very few things. In fact, people are more likely to say yes to him.

If you say yes to drinks every night with your co-workers, what are you doing every night? You’re not progressing. Odds are in 5 years they’ll be drinking every night still.

Think about the things you’ve said yes to, then think about how in the future you’re not going to say yes to those same things if it did not have an positive impact on you.

Be honest, even if it’s with your friends, say no.

People will be more drawn to you and trust you more when you’re open, honest, and express the realness.

If someone wants to get angry with you for saying no, understand it’s natural, don’t get upset with them. It will just make you a stronger person.

Commit to saying no to some things and commit to making more use of your time. When you commit, trust begins. When you trust your commitment, you become such a great person at the things you committed to.
