Saving money is a habit that should be taught at schools. It is part of something called” money management”. Life is full of surprises and urgent situations. Once you prepare for those unexpected situations, you are not going to feel stuck or in need. This essay shows the idea of saving money, and why we should set an amount of money aside every week, every month, or even every day.

My parents give bring me everything I want, and everything I ask for. At the same time, they taught me to save money and to dedicate a small amount every now and then from my allowance. My father bought me a saving pot in the shape of a bear. My mother gives me 6 dollars, so I started to take 3 dollars every day and put them in the pot. Last week, I told my friends about this habit, and they were surprised! I told them that my parents can buy me anything I want, but I need to help them. My friend Ali started to make the same, he saved about 50 dollars by himself, and then he bought a new bike. For me, I would like to buy a gift for my mother. She loves wearing rings that’s why I am planning to buy her a gold ring. It is expensive, but my brother Laith told me that he can help me, and pay half of the price. Now, I saved up to 60 dollars, and I will keep doing the same. I feel more independent, and I feel that I am doing something for my family even if it is not very noticeable.
