I love your approach on explaining the above topic and I am very impressed. I will one to comment about your sayings "My main goal in saying that I do Steemit full-time, is that I use many of my resources on Steemit instead of a regular day job! I didn't come to this platform to have the same experience of a structured and controlled environment like a 9 to 5. Doing Steemit this way relieves the pressure of "I have to write today or I can't pay my bills". Some people on steemit today are only after making their money without impacting on people's lives with quality post just as you do. I sometimes read some blogs, then I get irritated because I already knew the intention of the blogger. To everyone reading this, learn to make quality posts and quality comments relevant to what ever you are reading.
I also want to ask you question @shello. From your point, you said you do go on errands and do some house chores even while you have your roomate. What if my roomate isn't someone who loves to do anything, he just wants to be enjoying my money, food and everything without doing anything in the house. What can you say about this @shello?

Being real, it bums me out quite a bit when I realize an author's intention when publishing an article. You can feel it too right? Sure the topic might be trendy or cool but it's extremely easy to tell when there's no substance, no soul. I don't like it when a blog is vacantly lacking a voice. Sure, I am also writing to get rewards, but I also want provide value at least equal or greater than what I receive!
There is always a deeper meaning to my writing as anyone's should be, and if you aren't trying to improve the world even a little bit—there is no point to being on Steemit. Everyone helps everyone.
To answer your question @hardaeborla, my roommate is actually a self-proclaimed master of being lazy. He works all day and when he is home, he plays video games. That's all. When I talk about being proactive in my approach, what I mean is that I take the first steps, instead of waiting for him to do something!
We are only human, people can and do take advantage of each other. He could take advantage, but he's in a situation where he doesn't want to. As humans, we also feel guilt. He knows and I know that I don't have to do any of these things, but I do and it helps him. I'm also happy to help because I want to, not out of spite nor looking for a return. Sometimes he asks me if he's doing enough haha. I set the atmosphere for quality, and quality is contagious. Because I understand that he is also a person, with his own life—I'm willing to go a little extra if it helps him have a better day. This way whenever I make any request of him, it's as easy as asking someone "How are you?" To him, and to me there is zero pressure.
He helps me not because I demand it, but because he genuinely wants to. It may seem like a strange reply, but I hope this answers your question.
