I equate illegal border crossing to one's home or car or business. Why do you put up a fence around your yard? Why do you lock your doors? Set the alarm? Roll down the barricade on the storefront? If the answer to any of these is "For safety", "Protection", "For the children", or "I worked hard for it and I don't want it stolen", then you must be an evil, racist, hate mongering SOB.
