War Against Satan : 8 Satan is your Enemy
And indeed iblis (Satan) did prove true his thought about them: and they followed him, all except a group of true believers (in the Oneness of Allah).
(سورة سبإ, Saba, Chapter #34, Verse #20)
He (Jacob) said: "O my son! Relate not your vision to your brothers, lest they should arrange a plot against you. Verily! Shaitan (satan) is to man an open enemy!
(سورة يوسف, Yusuf, Chapter #12, Verse #5)
O you who believe! Enter perfectly in Islam (by obeying all the rules and regulations of the Islamic religion) and follow not the footsteps of Shaitan (satan). Verily! He is to you a plain enemy.
(سورة البقرة, Al-Baqara, Chapter #2, Verse #208)
And let not Shaitan (satan) hinder you (from the right religion, i.e. Islamic Monotheism). Verily, he (satan) to you is a plain enemy. (سورة الزخرف, Az-Zukhruf, Chapter #43, Verse #62)
O mankind! Eat of that which is lawful and good on the earth, and follow not the footsteps of Shaitan (satan). Verily, he is to you an open enemy. (سورة البقرة, Al-Baqara, Chapter #2, Verse #168)
And of the cattle (are some) for burden (like camels) and (some are) small (unable to carry burden like sheep and goats - for food, meat, milk and wool). Eat of what Allah has provided for you, and follow not the footsteps of Shaitan (satan). Surely he is to you an open enemy.
(سورة الأنعام, Al-An'aam, Chapter #6, Verse #142)
O you who believe! Follow not the footsteps of Shaitan (satan). And whosoever follows the footsteps of Shaitan (satan), then, verily he commands Al-Fahsha' [i.e. to commit indecency (illegal sexual intercourse)], and Al-Munkar [disbelief and polytheism (i.e. to do evil and wicked deeds; and to speak or to do what is forbidden in Islam)]. And had it not been for the Grace of Allah and His Mercy on you, not one of you would ever have been pure from sins. But Allah purifies (guides to Islam) whom He wills, and Allah is All-Hearer, All-Knower. (سورة النور, An-Noor, Chapter #24, Verse #21)
Did I not command you, O Children of Adam, that you should not worship Shaitan (satan). Verily, he is a plain enemy to you. (سورة يس, Yaseen, Chapter #36, Verse #60)
Nay! They say: "We found our fathers following a certain way and religion, and we guide ourselves by their footsteps." (سورة الزخرف, Az-Zukhruf, Chapter #43, Verse #22)
And similarly, We sent not a warner before you (O Muhammad صلى الله عليه و سلم) to any town (people) but the luxurious ones among them said: "We found our fathers following a certain way and religion, and we will indeed follow their footsteps." (سورة الزخرف, Az-Zukhruf, Chapter #43, Verse #23)
"You do not worship besides Him but only names which you have named (forged) - you and your fathers - for which Allah has sent down no authority. The command (or the judgement) is for none but Allah. He has commanded that you worship none but Him (i.e. His Monotheism); that is the (true) straight religion, but most men know not. (سورة يوسف, Yusuf, Chapter #12, Verse #40)
