The ever bustling town of Eruwa was founded by the first son of King Ebadiona, his father the king told him of a place northwest of his birthplace where only the lions stay, Eruwa, the king son listened to his father's instruction and made for the journey, he knew he had to find the place to save his face from shame of not been selected by the gods to rule after his father. The gods have chosen his younger brother instead.
Eruwa journeyed into the heart of the forest, going in the direction his father commanded, he finally met the abode of lions, and plead with the gods to grant his handiwork fertility here, the gods did and as a sign the sky opened for rain.
Eruwa waste no time in making sure he make a domain of the place, with some moons following, others too came to join him, he named the city after himself, because Eruwa lies along traders plyroute connecting the south to the north, Eruwa soon became a hub of mixed civilisation, traders come from the far north, buyers comes from the far south. The town blossom like no other. It was the pride of the northern world, enough to rival his birthplace.
It was at this peak that the queen got pregnant, and ready to put to bed, the best midwives were consulted and brought to the king palace with one goal only, safe delivery of the great prince, they made Onasere the queen lie down and beseech her to push the way women did, it was there they found out she's expecting a twins, the news was brought with joy to the king, drums and sacrifices were offered to the gods for blessing in anticipation of the twins prince. While the queen laboured for the babies to come out.
Despite doing there best, the queen was found to be so weak to push the babies, in an effort to savage the matter, she gave up with the baby inside her, it was such a sad moment that the moon hid his face in the sky and the sun refused to come out the next morning. The queen died with her babies. The news went round the town like wildfire. With consolation pouring in. Eruwa couldn't bare the shame, a town that boast of a civilisation with no rival.
In his rash mind he banish woman who are pregnant and made having twins a taboo. The news was hard for the kingdom to bare but they had no choice, woman started moving out of the city when pregnant and flock in after delivery like animals gestation period.

"His story not only teaches us of an African king but the lessons learnt from his life, never take hasty and nasty decisions when angered or sad, and also think deep on who is going to be affected by your decision. Don't stay in grief moment for long" Prof Adelabu pressed the projector remote to close the slide as he continue his speech.

"As an archeologist, I've never seen a city so beautifully structured like Eruwa, I've also not seen a state so perfect in architectural template like it, with the fact that this city was overthrown by war or natural disaster but desertion is bizarre of any prehistoric civilised world."
"Never forget the lesson learnt" he concluded. As his student made for the exit door, Prof Adelabu was bittered at heart, sad like the king of Eruwa, no one knew he's related to the people in his own story, for his grandmother has told him of her grandmother too, who actually came from Eruwa.
