Samsung Electronics Turns to Blockchain for Its Global Supply Chain.

Electronics Giant Samsung plans to use Blockchain for its global supply chain according to a report by Bloomberg on April 16th.

Song Kwang-woo, the vice president, and Blockchain chief, says Samsung SDS, the company’s IT subsidiary wants to use the technology with a view reduce costs by up to 20%.

If the technology is adopted, the move would be an addition to SDS’s Blockchain interaction together with Nexledger transaction management tool that was launched last year.

“It will have a significant transformation on the supply chains of manufacturing industries,” Song told the publication.

“Blockchain is a crucial platform to drive our digital transformation,” added Song.
