Upcoming Galaxy S21

It’s a little alarming, yet also reliving that the year of 2020 is coming to a close. With a new year on the horizon in just days, we also anticipate the latest and greatest tech that awaits. Despite COVID causing disturbance around the world, companies have continued to deliver their intended releases in the mobile space. Samsung of course will be looking to launch their latest line up with the S21 coming to market in the next few months. With recent speculation over the future of the Note series seeing its end, 2021 might be a consolidated effort to offer the most optimal choices to the current mobile market.

Current leaks are not currently showing anything mind blowing but it has been confirmed that the S21 will support the S Pen, further alluding to the conclusion of the Note series. I’ve spoken about the note in a previous post and why Samsung are doing the right thing in consolidating their lines. It’s highly unlikely that the form factor of the latest galaxy series will feature storage for the S Pen but perhaps novel cases will remedy this if there is a need at all. It will be interesting to see if new adopters of the S21 without the Note will bother to pick up an S Pend, which I am assuming does not come as standard with the handset.

The launch of the S21 draws nearer and I personally hope that Samsung can introduce some exciting specs and features for users in their Ultra offering. Iterative updates have been fine but when considering the failure of the Exynos over the past few years, here’s hoping that Samsung will either engineer an SoC on par with the SD offering or something exceedingly better.
