Samsung is going to change everything, starting in 2017 with the Galaxy X

Samsung remains the undisputed king of the Android space; the firm sells more handsets running Google's mobile platform than any other, and even outside of Android it is currently kicking Apple's ass when it comes to sales.

The Korean tech giant has come a long way in recent years. It wasn't always this way, and we'll readily admit that these days we have a tendency to gush a bit over Samsung's leading devices. But the reason we do that, without any sense of guilt, is because of how much things have changed - trust us, we used to regularly give Samsung devices a hammering.

Don't believe me? Check out our old reviews, anything from the Galaxy S5 and beforehand, we would often criticise Samsung for its use of scratchy, nasty plastic bodywork, heavy UI overlays, and an excess of bloatware pre-installed.

Back then, Samsung didn't take any notice, and for a good long while it seemed like consumers didn't care either. But then something changed, consumers got tired of it, the Galaxy S5 bombed in sales, and Samsung sat up and took notice.

The firm went back to the drawing board and cooked up the premium-grade, glass and metal wonder that was the Galaxy S6, and with much sleeker software to boot.

The rest is history, and for this vigorous and admirable change we've been singing the firms praises ever since. In our view it simply makes the best Android kit on the market.

And rumours would suggest that it's got a LOT of interesting stuff coming up in the not-too-distant future, things which are shaping up to be MAJOR milestones in the mobile tech space as a whole.

In short, Samsung is gearing up to be a pioneer, a proper trend-setter for mobile devices going forward. What's the catalyst for all this? Well quite simply it's that Samsung is going to be first to market with a fully folding and flexible Super AMOLED display smartphone; the Samsung Galaxy X, and this will change the mobile device market permanently - including phones, tablets, and the rest.portal_samsungbooth-0.jpg
