The new iPhone X is displayed during an Apple special event at the Steve Jobs Theatre on the Apple Park campus on September 12, 2017 in Cupertino, California. Apple held their first special event at the new Apple Park campus where they announced the new iPhone 8, iPhone X and the Apple Watch Series With the iPhone X now in stores, rival smartphone maker Samsung is using its latest ad to poke fun at Apple loyalists.

The company ran a new one-minute commercial called "Growing Up," which follows one consumer buying iPhones all the way back to the original.

The ad takes aim at a few notable issues with iPhone ownership over the years, including running out of storage space when taking a photo, or sticking your iPhone in a bowl of dry rice when it takes a dunk in water.

The highlight is when the diehard Apple fan is watching a video with earbuds, and must use a variety of accessories to both charge the phone and use headphones (thanks to no headphone jack on the iPhone 7 and later models).

Meanwhile, he can't resist the temptation of his girlfriend's Samsung smartphones, finally joining Team Android.

Samsung timed the release of this ad perfectly. On Friday, Apple launched the iPhone X, its latest smartphone with an OLED screen and Face ID, which uses the front-facing camera to unlock your phone or pay for stuff by scanning your face.

According to Apple's website, the wait time for iPhone X is 3 to 4 weeks.636408315267194131-GTY-846148982.jpg
