The project is set up with a capacity of about 1 MW with 50 turbines (wind farms) at a cost of around Tk 15 crore in the adjacent areas of the embankment in Tablarchar village of Ali Akbar Daily Union of Kutubdia upazila. But before the project got the face of light, electricity was stopped in 2010 due to cyclone ailar injuries. Then, in 2016, with the installation of wind turbines with 20 turbines at a new angle at a cost of 23 million 77 lakh taka.

Adding one megawatt of electricity, it now becomes 2 megawatts. In the month of February, the State Power Minister Nasrul Hamid inaugurated the wind power project. It starts with the inauguration of electricity supply. Now this wind power burns at 7:30 pm. The people of Kutubdia upazila are happy with this electricity.

A turbine has a height of about 1 ft height, currently 2 centers are available. Two centers of 1000 kilowatt power. But the people of the area are not getting the right result because the management is not good.

Koutubdia Upazila Parishad's Vice Chairman, Sayedha Meherunnesa told the Bengali Tribune that very few households are getting electricity through the use of wind power in the island's upazila. He demanded to bring the whole island under air power by placing it on a larger scale.
