Understanding the prayer rug

The mosque is derived from the word "sajada" which means prostration. The word "mosque" is not purely derived from the word sajada. Therefore, the form of "maf'al" (place of action) of the word "sajada" is "masjadun" (meaning place of prostration). One predicts that the word mosque comes from the Aramaic language which is a group of Semitic languages incorporated in the family of Afroasiatic languages. The Aramaic word is the name of a wiayah in Syria.

Then what about the word "prayer mat" in the Indonesian language is defined as the base of prayer? This word is derived from Arabic, "sajjaadatun" which is a single noun in Arabic, and its plural form is "kanajid", which means the place of prostration.

Prayer on the prayer mat is seen from the law of wearing the prayer rug itself no one thinks it as Sunnah. The truth is that there is no prohibition on praying on a certain pedestal, in this case a prayer mat.
