Do they have those fishing nets going all the way from shore and far out in the sea there too? Typical Danish thing, and it's a miracle we haven't been hitting one yet. Covered it a bit in my recent Klintholm post.

in the german side it's OK - typical german .. there is is a rule for everything.

On the Polish side of the Haff it's anarchy - those things are everywhere. To sail there against the wind is quite a challenge, not because of the sailing but after every turn you do, you head straight into such a thing.

Most sailors there told me that they don't sail at night - it's just too dangerous to get stuck in such a thing.

When I go there in the dark I usually use the fairways. Even if it means to use the engine, regardless if the wind is good for sailing. You can see more (no sails in the line of sight), deck light switched on and someone at the bow watching out ;)
