Boat on the reef
Been dealing with alot of B.S. lately. This credit card captain washed up on a reef in petit tabac. A marine park in st vincent. After hrs of diving and dangerous salvage work the guy didn't even offer to buy me a beer.
Please upvote so I can by myself one. What kind of prick doesn't buy a guy a beer after saving a $600,000 yacht?
@knot
Rough deal there! You got a great picture and story out of it though. I'm raising my last beer of the night to you now. I found you through the #payitforward contest. You were featured by @wolfhart. Congratulations and wish you all the best.
That must be one special individual.
Hey if you are ever in and around Roatan, Honduras, I'll invite you to a few beers. There's a bay in my neighborhood that is popular for sailboats. "French cay" "littlefrenchkey"
Im actually thinking about buying a place in le ceiba or roatan. I'll probably take you up on that offer hopefully sooner then later
Have you visited Roatan before?
This is one of first few posts that I ever made and got no attention at all. The offer still stands and I'll advertise it more in the future as my following increases.

Well that's not fair!!
I've been in the same situation. Takes all kinds, hang in there...
Yea its all good. I'll get my salvage its just going to take a little legal wrangling
What an ass...You would have gone home drunk with some cash stuff in your pocket if I was stupid enough to have run aground and someone helped me out. Then again that is a big if...I was aloud to take boats out alone at 10 so pretty decent about paying attention to my surrounding when on the water.

STOPSometimes shit happens, in a year or two or several from now, something good will no doubt happen to you. Try not to be to bummed out by it, and much like the pay it forward challenge, Karma will pay you back when you least expect it. You did a good job saving his boat, maybe it will be someone saving your life in the future. I am a firm believer in Karma.
Yea I always have been to. But if karma was a real thing I'd be a billionaire married to scarlet johanson by now.
Ah but did you do something that would engender that much Karma? I helped a very young mother out once on her electric bill, I had some extra money I was going to spend on a new stereo, but her needs far outweighed mine. 20 years later, I had to have a surgery right at the beginning of winter, and needed to make arrangements to keep my drive plowed so my wife could get to the store if she needed. Long story short, the plow guy kept us plowed out all winter, free of charge. I believe it was because I helped that young mother in her time of need, that he helped me in my time of need. Karma.
Haha. Well, I can understand your Frustration at such kimd of behavior. It would strike me off balance as well.
Continue doing good, it will come back to you in one way or another. I was led here by the #Payitforward Curation contest where you were featured. You should drop by see what we are about :)
