In the use of Excavators in river areas and unstable lands, should pay attention to the following:
- Identify the area to be carried out the work.
- Provide bearings for the location of the tool stand
- know the reach of the bucket hand.
- Determine where to stand safe.
- Follow working procedures
Each job must follow the correct operational instruction manual, such as above due to negligence of excavator operator and field supervisor.
- Before starting work first make safety permit
- Safety permit issued by the authorized part or owner project.
- Workers who served as Safety Representative should always be in the field.
- Use personal protective equipment in accordance with the work area and job requirements

I know all those people on the road are likely laughing at the operator. He was most likely told to go there or lose your job. No equipment operator likes to look like a fool, so I choose to believe it was not his choice to put the equipment in peril, but that of the site supervisor. A very good reminder, and operators need to know when to say no.
