Ruth cooks: Mushroom day!
I came from the supermarket with a packet of white mushrooms today and I can say I used them the best way I could!
Half the packet escorted two cups of rice in the oven!
And the other half made a delicious onion soup or as we call it στιφάδο - stifado.
(My dad had two servings of that and almost ate the dish)
And because the rice needs some more company and color on the dish, I made a yummy prawn σαγανάκι - saganaki. Some fresh tomatoes, parsley, prawns and feta cheese, oh and some spicy chilly pepper flakes and the final result was dreamy!
And for dessert...
A little chocolate ice cream to cool us on a hot day like this.
