If natural gas deliveries from Russia are interrupted, industrial enterprises all around Germany could actually be forced to scale back operations or shut down entirely, according to a story published by the Financial Times on Monday.

According to the article, the world's largest chemical giant BASF and Germany's top steelmaker ThyssenKrupp have both issued warnings that without adequate natural gas supplies, their operations may have to go into inactive mode or shut down entirely and perhaps experience technical difficulties.
