Russia

Russia attracts tourists from all over the world with its stunningly beautiful nature, huge number of historical sites and vast open spaces that includes several climatic zones. From Kamchatka to the Caspian sea, from the Chukchi sea to the black sea coast – you can travel around Russia for a very long time, surprised by its contrast and diversity.

Why go

Rest in popular parts of Russia is interesting for its diversity. Kaliningrad oblast – in the middle ages called it as the state of the Teutonic order - very interesting excursion program and a nice Spa resorts. The black sea coast is a beach holiday with the whole family and a lot of time – tested resorts. Gelendzhik, Sochi, Anapa and other popular resorts annually host millions of tourists, there are thousands of resorts and hotels, as well as a countless number of agencies in the tourist infrastructure of the region. Ski resorts, primarily in the Sochi region, have undergone great development in the last few years and are very popular. When to go

Because of the large extent of the country's climate in various parts of it varies significantly. Kaliningrad region is located in areas of marine and temperate continental climate, almost all year round-comfortable temperature and little rainfall, in winter about 0, in summer up to + 20, rare frosts up to -20°C in winter and short summer heat up to + 25°C- + 35°C.

Caucasian mineral waters are a region with pronounced seasons, moderately hot summers and frosty winters, with the number of Sunny days in the Kislovodsk region exceeding 300 during the year. The best time year for vacation and travel on KVM is considered the second half of summer and autumn. At this time, Sunny and without rain, nature flourishes lavishly.

The black sea resorts are located in the subtropical zone (both dry and semi-humid type). There is a comfortable Mediterranean climate with a traditionally hot summer and a long velvet season, the sum of the holiday season lasts more than 4 months-from may to the end of October. In the area of Anapa, the temperature even in winter rarely falls below 0°C, and already in the area of Sochi occasionally frosts. In summer, the temperature on the black sea coast rarely rises above 30°C. Swimming season lasts from may to October, the water warms up to 23 ° -24°C. Near Gelendzhik mild autumn weather lasts until January, and the winter season with heavy rains and rare light frost is very short – from late January to early March. Summer in Sochi and Tuapse is much wetter than on the Gelendzhik coast.

The Crimean coast is the most comfortable for beach holidays from mid-June to early October – by this time the water has time to warm up and set a pleasant Sunny weather.

Hotels

The hotel base of Russia is incredibly diverse-even within the same resort. On the black sea coast you can find and large hotel complexes, and accommodation in private apartments, and children's camps, as well as a variety of sanatorium complexes.

Russian cuisine has long been famous for its recognizable dishes. Due to the large extent and multinational set of dishes, traditional for a particular region, can vary significantly.
