Countdown to my first Marathon - 92 days to go [18/50 #fiftyrunstillmay]
Long Run Day
Today was the first day of my 10 days off work and I decided to make it my long run day of the week. It looked a beautiful day, the sun wash shining and it didn’t look or sound windy like it has been the last couple of days. Looks can be deceiving though! It was actually very cold, 1 degrees, and the ground was very icy but I took it easy and eventually warmed up which made it a lovely day for a run.
My training plan said 80/90 minute run but I’m only using it as a rough guide as it’s a beginners plan but I’m not technically a beginner so it’s ok for me to run for longer.
My run was more of a 1 hour 45 minute run at a slow, gentle pace. That is how I enjoy running especially in the sunshine enjoying my surroundings. Here are some pictures that I took out on my run.
by the river
by the sea
The scenery did look beautiful.
Here are the stats from strava
only just fit all them k’s on one picture
So the training is going well as there’s not long left.
Thanks for looking
Happy reading peeps 🖤

Amazing Pics!!! What a nice (and cold) sunrise!
Perfect Long Run!
I love running by the sea - which is difficult when I live pretty much the furthest point from any coast in the UK! Hope the training goes well and I'll look out for you in London - I'm marshalling just after Tower Bridge.
