32nd Budapest Marathon was greater success than ever before

The 32nd SPAR Budapest Marathon attracted over 32.000 participants over the weekend. With distances ranging from 400 meters to 42 km this weekend was about running for everyone in Budapest, Hungary.

The marathon kicked off Sunday morning in beautiful sunny weather which persisted during the whole race. In this ideal weather runners toured the heart of the city for all of the 42 km. From Heore's Square they started down Andrássy Boulevard, a World Heritage site, and continuted on both Danube banks, crossing several bridges, including the famous Chain Bridge and admiring another world heritage site, the Castle Hill.

International runners arrived for all distances, including the 30 km and Marathon Relay for 4, from all over the world. The new distance: Marathon Relay for 2 was extremely popular amongst international runners. 5200 runners arrived from 81 different countries. 32 runners visited from Slovenia.
