The Bunny Hash joins their sisters in Pattaya

The Bunny Hash is the women only sector of the Hash House Harriers and it was spawned because of the fact that traditionally the HHH was a men only club and this has nothing to do with sexism and everything to do with tradition. In Chiang Mai we stick to the "roots" only on the traditional day of Monday but the other events are open to all. The Bunny Hash events are managed completely by women and it is up to them if they want to allow men to attend it. Sometimes they do, sometimes they don't.

They also involve themselves in big events where they will visit the Bunny Hashes of other areas of the country or even the world and since Pattaya is the most active Hash in Thailand other than our own, they seemed compelled to go down there for some fun the same as the med do on a somewhat regular basis.

I do not know all the people in this event so I am going to go ahead and presume that they had a decent turnout of the local women Hashers. They didn't go off road very much which is understandable in Pattaya seeing as how there really isn't a lot of nature there. It doesn't have a larger population than Chiang Mai but National Parks and farmland are a lot more difficult to come by down there. It's a bit easier to just turn it into a social event that involves making some new friends and exploring the city with some locals.

I do enjoy that during their romp around the city they didn't avoid the seedy streets, which if you know anything about Pattaya that is most of the streets. A great deal of that city revolves around the "world's oldest profession" and now also the sale of marijuana.

In the photos that were posted I can't find a single pic of anything that resembles sand or dirt, so this may have been a completely on trail event. It does look like everyone had fun though and that is really the entire point of the Hash.

Men were allowed to participate and honestly, if you are going to go to Pattaya, this would probably be one of the best ways to do it seeing as how as a man, or a bunch of men... walking down the street in Pattaya is a fantastic way to be endlessly harassed by the ladies of the night. It might sound like fun at first but after about your 7000th "hello welcome handsome man!" it gets a bit old.

These girls know how to party and seeing as how the Bunny Hash members are well known for being perpetually hungry, I am sure there was plenty of good food to be had as well. I didn't make it down to this one but I'll see if I can get in on the next one.

For any ladies out there that might have the impression that this is a men only society just know that this is not the case. We do have far more men in our ranks than women, but we have plenty of both and they both go on adventures like this one on a regular basis. Come and join in the fun!
