Running for Neo #5 (Total 48 KM, 197 days until the Marathon of Berlin) | Ontology (ONT) NEO dump
Dollar Cost Averaging Neo for every kilometer!
In 197 days I will be running the Marathon of Berlin on the 19th of September. Today I have started my official preparations. As an experiment I will be using a variant on dollar cost averaging, at which I will invest 1 dollar for each kilometer that I run in preparation of the marathon in both NEO and GAS. This will therefore be both a blog of both my runs as well as an exercise to see what kind of investment performance can be achieved by dollar cost averaging Neo.
Ontology (ONT) NEO dump
Today a snapshot was taken of all NEO addresses at block height 1974823, any accounts holding NEO at this point willl get the first portion of ONT in the weeks following March 1, 2018 (0.1 ONT per NEO). The other locked half (0.1 ONT per NEO) will be using the same snapshot, but will instead be airdropped after the release of Ontology MainNet in Q2 2018. Further details have not yet been announced.
Given the fact that the Ontology will have a total supply of 1.000.000.000 tokens it is quite rediculeos to for people to actually buy NEO especially to get this small quantity of ONT. However we did see a sharp drop in the price of NEO at the moment block 1974823 was created. Therefor I decided to procure my NEO at this point. I expect the price of NEO to climb back up to yesterday's level quite quickly.

Today's run was a short recovery run so today's investment is also quite a modest one of 8 usd in NEO at 126.57 and 8 usd in GAS at 39.90. My weighted average price is now $128.24 for NEO and $39.39 for GAS. So the return of 11 and 9 percent respectively.
Recovery run at Phap Vien Minh Dang Quang
The route was mainly along side the road near the Budhist temple of Phap Vien Minh Dang Quang (see picture above) and partly also in the northern part of the Thao Dien neighborhood of district 2 in Ho Chi Minh City.
