Running competiton in Alfter #runforsteem
Our #runforsteem this week was the half marathon competition in Alfter.
Start and finish are about 1.5 kilometres and 200 metres high. You park below in the finish area and then go to the start.
In bright sunshine we set off with the friends of the LG Laacher See on the steeply descending path.
The fresh green of the trees and bushes provided shade and a light wind provided additional freshness.
The temperature was clearly above 20 degrees and we enjoyed the half-shady forest paths and the good climate in the forest all the more.
We were supplied with cool water at several refreshment points.
We started the run calmly and controlled. Records were not planned, but it should be our long run on the weekend.
So we enjoyed the nature, kept a pleasant pace and could even collect one or the other runner towards the end.
At the finish we were cheered on and cheered on by our clubmates. Some even made it onto the winner's rostrum. Three women from the club (including Lydia) were honoured for being the fastest team in the half marathon.
For a slow long run on the weekend this was a great and surprising event.
Here is the track recorded by Lydia:
Join the runforsteem Competition of @jumowa. You don't have to participate in a running competion, you don't have to write a long text you even don't have to take photos. Just post the record of your run and follow the rules.
Although, we like good texts and nice pictures, because then even more people have fun with your run.
Seems like a very nice race in beautiful surroundings!
