Do you love to drink, dress up in silly costumes and generally have fun? Then Rugby sevens is the sport for you.
So what is Rugby sevens?
It is a variant of the sport of Rugby in which teams are made up of seven players playing seven minute halves, instead of the usual 15 players playing 40 minute halves.Its popular in the South Pacific, Europe , Americas and parts of Africa.It originated in Melrose Scotland in the 1880s. The most popular tournament is The World Rugby Sevens Series in 1999a series of seven to twelve tournaments played each year from approximately November to May. 16 national teams compete in the series. Currenlty South Africa are the World Sevens Series champions. Other teams to watch out for are New Zealand, Fiji, England, Australia and my hometown Kenya.

Fiji is currently the Olympic Rugby sevens champions after winning Gold during the Rio Olympics. Fun Fact: This is Fiji's first olympic gold medal.
