It seems to be there and there live people, a lot in common and of course there are differences in our lives. For example, in Italy, I have never heard of single mothers. The concept of" single mother", as such in Italy is absent, at least in modern society.
30-50 years ago in Italy, especially in southern Italy, in the region of Naples and its surroundings, in Sicily and Calabria, Sardinia and in Pula, a woman who gave birth without a husband, many condemned. And often the family, having such a "useless daughter" sent her to the North, away from the family and shame. Where the woman got a job, gave the child to the nursery and independently, without the support of relatives and friends raised the child and built her life. On her way could meet a loving man, and the life of a single woman moved into the category of family. But no one treated her with prejudice, that she is not like that, no one called her single mother. When feminism swept across Europe, women became more free in their relationships with men, they began to plan their own lives and make their own decisions, and whether there is a place in their life for a man or not? Especially now, I watch as Italian women are absolutely not planning to marry urgently and urgently to have a baby. They're very confident. Everything will be by the time. Everything is planned: school, career, then marriage or fidanzamento (live in a couple without marriage). Children are planned, and more often they are born to women in 30, closer to 40 years. No one is standing over their soul: "Let's give birth, and then time will go, then you will not give birth. Either there will be no health, or a sick child will be born."
Nobody says anything to anyone. A woman decides how to arrange her life. And even if she is one and suddenly she had a child, then this is a long-awaited child and he is all happy in the family. In Italy, of course, the cult of children. They are welcome, beautiful, all the girls, without exception, from the diapers of the "Princess". That's what the dads call them " my Princess." You can imagine an Italian woman who has been a Princess since childhood.... She has an ego such that she is actually a real Princess and she must meet no doubt only the Prince, the best and most beautiful, the most intelligent and the richest. If this is not met it does not matter, she will live without the Prince, completely devoting your life to yourself. She won't cry that she's not getting along with men. She just didn't meet someone who was right for her, who really was her man.
Most often in school, every girl already has a boy, they are friends, their friendship grows into love. Growing up, after 18 years, they can live together, or just meet and each of the couple live in the house of their parents. Everything is decided by the young. Parents are not involved in this at all. Young officially announce their engagement that they are a couple and from that moment all the relatives on both sides take them together as a couple. It fidanzamento can last several years, all different, can end a marriage or on the contrary the young can leave and look for another pair. For example, my husband's nephew was in such a relationship for 14 years. Met his bride when she was 16 years old and made her an offer to marry him when she was 30 years old. Two years ago they got married.

And this is the South, Naples, you see how the traditions have changed? And passed the just years 30. Previously, such parents would not even allow their children. If you want to live together-get married, and divorce in Italy was very difficult. It was only since 1970 that the divorce Law was officially adopted in Italy. And then, it's not exactly an easy procedure.
In Soviet Russia, the situation of single mothers was not rosy. And most often, the woman was ready to live with the father of her child, but the father was not always happy to have another child on the side or as they said unplanned child. There were certainly worse epithets. But in General, we must admit that it was a label for a woman. Of course, single mothers had financial support from the state, thank God, although the state supported them, and did not despise or refuse them. But moral to live for these women was hard. Had grown children, asking the mother where is my father, and the father was gone...And in my family there is such an experience, my nephew was born without a father and who he is, so we do not know.
And life has changed, I hope for the better. In any case, it is a happiness to have a child and it does not matter whether he was born to a single mother or a father and mother. It is important that he was born to a woman. It is important that any born child was loved and most desired for his mother. It is important that a real person and a worthy citizen of his country grow out of this child.
