Tsar Putin will allow coronavirus to drain the Russian economy to zero and drive us into poverty
A Russian comes to a Jew asking to lend him a ruble.
Jew: "Okay, have it, but then you'll give me two rubles in a year"
"Okay" the Russian replies. He took the ruble and was about to leave.
"Leave me something as collateral. Even if it’s an axe"
"Take".
The Jew stops him: "Yes, but in a year, it will be difficult for you
to give me two rubles at once, you give me a ruble right now, then in a year it will be easier for you"
"That's true", the Russian thought, and gave the ruble back to the Jew.
He leaves the Jew’s and thinks: "Interesting: no axe, no loan, and i still owe a ruble. And everything seems to be right"
Mr. Putin is clearly closer to the Romanov dynasty than to the family of his ancestors. Not only because of his lust for power, but also because of his greed. At the very least, he behaves in the "best traditions" of the house of Romanov.
Let me remind you that the Romanov family always lived, sang and had fun on a full scale at the expense of the people and wanted for nothing. The emperor's family had an annuity sufficient to feed ALL the hungry people in Russia. And the Romanovs certainly had the leverage to solve the problems of the starving. But no emperor, during the 300 years of the dynasty, did this; even in the years of famine, when millions died, it never stopped the family from enjoying life.
Alexander III distinguished himself the last time. In 1891-1892, the famine affected 17 provinces with a population of more than 36 million people. Officials did not provide the necessary supplies of seeds, food, medical care was at a disgusting level, so a typhus epidemic was added to the famine. Alexander III not only did not take responsibility for the ineffective work of his team, he covered up the theft of officials at the very top to the last, and absolutely did not hesitate to tell foreign reporters that there was no famine and everything was fine. And officials on the ground tried to counteract the Americans, who sent free aid – entire steamboats with grain to save those who could be reached.
It is not surprising that the Romanovs did not like Jews; they were not much different from them inherently. They treated people just like in that anecdote about a Jew who left a Russian without a loan, an axe and the Russian still "owes" him a ruble. The meanness of the rulers might have been forgotten if anything had changed.
"The elite" – although it is a perversion to call gluttons, thieves and liars the chosen – has always ignored the fact that workers and businesses feed them, that they fill the "coffers of the Motherland" from year to year. But in difficult times, instead of returning their earnings for free- they were forced to take out loans, driving them even more "into a debt hole".
To people on the verge of starvation and bankruptcy, the Romanovs offered only one way out – loan and deferred payments. And while all of Russia tried to survive, the "top " continued to have fun and fatten as if nothing had happened.
The Romanovs are gone. Let's talk about today.
Because of coronavirus, the whole world is "in the same boat" and if our virologists, as one of the best in the world, help the people of Italy; then supposedly you can’t blame our government for using the best practices of other countries for supporting the economy.
In a number of civilized countries, the government is ready to help its citizens in the difficult situation.
The European Union allocates €8 billion for the most affected large businesses, €750 billion to stop the fall of the securities market.
Germany allocates €750 billion for state support to businesses, including €600 billion for large enterprises. The government is really ready to "lend a shoulder", up to the purchase of shares in businesses, just to prevent a collapse in the economy. Businesses will be able to take out unlimited loans. Landlords are not allowed to terminate contracts with tenants who will not be able to pay rent due to the coronavirus situation.
France. President Macron said: "the state will pay!"and "No French enterprise will go bankrupt!". The government has become a guarantor for loans worth €300 billion. The budget will pay for utilities and rent for employees, as well as small businesses. €45 billion has been allocated to support businesses and employees who are forced out of work. The state will pay 80% of the salary to those who found themselves unemployed. Small business that is temporarily closed will receive a small but monthly compensation of €1,500. Everyone who works in hospitals will be able to relax in hotels and take a taxi at the expense of the state.
Czech. Paid parking has been canceled. The state provides targeted assistance to the elderly at the municipal level: food, medicine, and free medical care.
Italy. During the epidemic, there are loan, mortgage and tax holidays for both businesses and the population. For the period of the pandemic, the banks will be compensated by the budget. €25 billion has been allocated to support families. Those who lose their jobs will receive compensation. All working parents with children under 12 years of age: will receive a voucher for €600 to compensate for babysitting services, or will be able to apply for paid leave and receive up to 50% of the allowance at the expense of the state. All employees with an income of up to €40,000 a year will receive a small increase from the state.
Spain. €117 billion was allocated from the country's budget to help low-income families, the unemployed and entrepreneurs. Small businesses are allowed to avoid paying taxes for the entire period when the business was closed.
Austria. €38 billion has been allocated to support businesses, in order to prevent the collapse of enterprises and the growth of unemployment. All families with children under 14 years of age went on three weeks of 100% paid leave at the expense of the state. Compensations and tax cuts are provided for all business levels.
USA. Trump allocated $500 billion for Americans with an income of up to $75 thousand a year ($1.2 thousand for each adult and $500 for a child under 18). Additionally, a law worth $100 billion was signed on providing financial assistance to those who found themselves unemployed. Employees of companies are allowed to go on leave for 10 weeks with payment of two-thirds of their salary. Compensation is not at the expense of employers, but at the expense of insurance agencies! $500 billion will be transferred to the fund for supporting companies, cities and states, and $350 billion was allocated for business tax holidays.
As you can see, in rich countries they do more, in poor countries they do less, but all the leaders of civilized countries take care of the population and business.
And how did Putin take care of Russia? In his address, he promised:
- Big business- nothing;
- Those who will be out of work due to the crisis- no compensation, unemployment benefits on a general basis;
- Families with children under 3 years old who are entitled to maternity capital- monthly additional payments - 5 thousand rubles. Families with children under 3 years old who are not entitled to maternity capital and with children over 3 years old, if they do not fall into the category of low-income – nothing.
- Payments to low-income families with children under 7 will start a month earlier - in June;
- To increase unemployment benefits by 50% until December 31, 2020, up to a maximum of one minimum wage. The minimum unemployment benefit was 1,500 rubles. Now it will be 3,000 rubles;
- All employees – a paid week of leave at the expense of employers for the period of quarantine;
- Mortgage and loan holidays can be issued if a person's income has fallen by more than 30%. This, of course, will have to be proved.
- SMEs (small and medium-sized businesses), the following have been suspended for three months: on-site inspections of the tax inspectorate, deferral of tax payment under the simplified tax system (STS) and advance payments for the 1st quarter, payment of insurance premiums for employees. For micro enterprises, payment of property tax, land and transport tax will be suspended for 3 months. The deadline for submitting tax returns will also be extended for this period.
So, the unemployment benefit has been increased by a "ridiculous" amount. Families with children who do not belong to the low-income group, try to survive as they want. Big business will also do well without support, Mr. President decided.
Small and medium-sized businesses in Russia that live today received a temporary suspension for three months without profitable long-term subsidies, loans; and how they will live in a situation of a strong decline in demand- the government does not care. But they put an additional burden on business – a week of holiday at the expense of the employer and if necessary, the quarantine will be extended. Of course, business owners are infinitely grateful for the unique opportunity to pay for the holiday of their employees.
How the population itself will survive – our soon-to-be Tsar and his entourage do not care about it. No real material support, for elderly people or families with children who are not entitled to benefits, will be provided.
Russia's resources are quite comparable to those of France, and it would at least be possible to allocate funds for the least well-off part of the population, as the US did.
But most importantly, it is necessary to keep business afloat, because mass bankruptcy of enterprises and unemployment leads to the death of the economy, and even amateurs understand this.
For example, the co-founder of Hoff hypermarket chain, Mikhail Kuchment, writes that "no retailer will pass such a stress test as coronavirus." The drop in off-line sales by 50-70% can't be covered by sales over the internet. People still prefer shopping in person. Most retailers' online sales do not exceed 30% and they will not grow significantly. In other words, retail expects a flood of layoffs and a sharp decline in turnover. Big business will "drag" all partners- small and medium-sized enterprises "to the bottom". This will lead to a chain of bankruptcies and an increase in unemployment. The solvency of the population will fall and how to get out of this collapse, where according to Mikhail, coronavirus is throwing our economy, is absolutely unclear
Only total support for the economy will prevent a disaster. But this is not a one-time action on the part of the government – it must constantly monitor the situation and make "injections" into the economy, supporting the population and business.
As you know, the European Union and the United States will do so. For some reason, Mr Putin has forgotten that the country's budget and the gold and foreign exchange reserves are earned by Russian residents- businesses and individuals. And in a difficult situation, it would be good to return these funds to those who earned them.
But, don't even expect it! Mr. Putin is a clear reincarnation of someone from the Romanovs. The greed of the president and his "brigade" exceeds all imaginable and unthinkable limits. In fact, all available funds have already been appropriated. They have been allocated for stealing and sharing the budget and are not subject to return to those who earned them.
So prepare for the fact that our yet-to-be-Tsar will "take care" of his inner circle to the detriment of all of us. After all, unlike us, they are not used to restrictions. Can you imagine how hard it is for them now, when they have to cancel all those trips to Courchevel and the Maldives? No matter what, even if our oligarchs and government officials are infected with melancholy - it won’t take long to lose weight after all.
You probably used to wonder why so little is allocated to support the population and business. But everything is simple: dividing what is left - for nothing and for no one. That's why everything looks like a handout, a scrap from the grown ups' table of glutton oligarchs. But you remember the slogan of Medvedev with which Russia will enter the 22nd century: "there is no money, but you stay put"?
Either we will break Mr. President with votes on amendments to the constitution, or we will remain obediently silent. And then in 10 years Russia will be little different from the former colonies in Africa: 5%- the rich, 10%- the servants and 85%- those living on the threshold of poverty and misery. Your choice.
