#RPGADay2018 Day 19

Day 19; What music enhances your game?
Honestly? Everything!
Some of my favorite battle music to put on;
My go-to bard plays bagpipes, a violin and a hurdy-gurdy so I like to list these as examples of stuff she could be playing out there (in addition to the 3rd song from above, because battle bagpipes for the win!)
Beautiful violin and bagpipes, more of her performance song than anything else for flavor.
There's a hurdy-gurdy in the background and I imagine her singing voice sounds very similar to theirs as well.
And of course, can't have a violin player without referencing Lindsey Stirling! Plus the bard is a sea elf with a sailor's background so of course she'd play this a ton. She has a song called The Arena that also makes wonderful battle music.
I prefer to have music only during combat or as examples of stuff players are having their characters sing/perform, and when we're just in a town or something there's plenty of ambiances that could count as music too because they're so artfully constructed.
That's my go-to for any time they're in a forest, and that particular YouTube basically does nothing but these kinds of ambiances which make them great for games. They have a potion shop one I like to put on any time my players are shopping, a tavern one that's super great, a campfire, pirate ship, and even just general medieval town. They rarely don't have something to fit despite the small amount of videos because it takes them so much time to put together the perfect compilation but whenever they do it's absolutely perfect :D
