I was really cheering for Ronaldo...

I was really cheering for Ronaldo during the European Championships. I was hoping that he would score a goal and that he would help lead Portugal to some great victories. Well, that did not happen. He didn't score any normal goals (only two during penalty shootouts), and he wasn't playing great at all. It might be a coincidence and that he just had some bad days on the field, but I believe Portugal would have been way better if they had played with other attackers than Ronaldo.

In yesterday's match against France Ronaldo was mostly invisible and he didn't cause much trouble for the French defense. I believe we often see with him what happened with Manchester United as Ronaldo arrived... people always look to him and feel forced to play with him, and in the end, that weakens the club and the team instead of strengthening the team.

So, Manchester United became a failure after the arrival of Ronaldo, and unfortunately, Portugal hasn't impressed during the European Championship either.
