Messi Better than Ronaldo......statistically!!

The stats above speak for themselves. However, this debated has enjoyed lots of attention for the last 8years. If we are to make a good conclusion on this matter, then we have to do it quantitatively. Looking at the stats, the figures deceive us and chooses the side of Ronaldo. 

A good comparison can only be made when both parties are placed on a standard scale. This is the concept of standardization. It is not safe to simulate the 2 years Messi is behind Ronaldo because we cannot say for certain if Messi's performance will drop or rise. A better way to standardize both is to look at their goals/appearance. The appearance is proportional to career age, therefore it is a better option. Taking pains to do this extra analysis we discover Messi having 0.8 goals/appearance is ahead of Ronaldo (0.69 goals/appearance).

It is expected that lovers of Ronaldo will not drop the debate and embrace this fact, yet they have no basis for their arguments. I love Ronaldo because he is hardworking and wonderful footballer, but as long as Messi is playing football and at the present, Messi remains the King!
