Lake Superior Rocks & Gems - Agate of the Day
Another beautiful agate for you to view in all its glory! There is a lot of detail in this one, and a lot of colors. I want to share with you what it means to make an agate come to life. As in my previous Rocks post, I like to make them glow by giving it some light!

The detail in this shot is really beautiful! The picture really speaks for itself when you look at all the perfectly aligned bands in the agate. The show below I realy like as the rock appears to be floating. I prefer to take shots where the light source is not visible but this can be hard to do.

I can never get tired of taking shots of these rocks glowing. Even with out them they are amazing. I look forward to sharing polished rocks and gems with you however my new rock tumbler broke on the first round of rocks and am waiting for replacement parts so it might be a while. In the mean time I've been looking for ways to polish them by hand but may not be worth it for my smaller rocks.
