This is the second album of this iconic British progressive rock band; With Mirage, Camel starts a symphonic orientation in his style of making music and that will mark the stamp in the subsequent albums. It is a very conscientious album in terms of the creation of melodies and sound textures. Each of the songs are real gems for lovers of the progressive genre. Songs like Freefall and Earthrise are marked by the force of jazz rock, Caravan style, (another wonderful band) with strong doses of frenetic psychedelia in them we can appreciate the sublime keyboard of Peter Bardens and the passionate guitar of Andrew Latimer. We continue with the beautiful and soft Supertwister an intrumental, melancholy and relaxing theme that was made in homage to the great Dutch band Supersister and that boasts a deep dose of poetry.

However, it is the Lady Fantasy and the White Rider suites that mark the highest point of this Camelian work. Lady Fantasy is one of the most acclaimed songs in the history of this band, melodic beauty, atmospheres and surprising rhythmic structures. White Rider meets the same characteristics, but adding an epic touch, being a song inspired by the Lord of the Rings, which adds a higher level of beauty ...

In synthesis a true jewel of progressive rock and a highly recommended album to start in this musical genre ....
