The band Viborg Dallas was founded in 1996. Branko Rosic, today's journalist and writer, in music circles known as punk veteran and member of the bands of Urban guerrillas and Berliner Strasse, who had great significance in shaping the Belgrade new wave.

The name of the band is made up of two cities: the first in Denmark and the other in America. For such a combination Rosic decided after meeting in Copenhagen with a stewardess who was born in Viborg, and traveled with her boyfriend to Dallas. Although he was the founder of the band and songwriter, Rosicz never performed with them. The same year they were made, they played as a pre-gang on a tour of the Colored Program.

The members of Viborg Dallas were Boris Nikolić (guitar), Borivija Grbić (bass), Sonja Višnjić (trumpet), Rehema Vuai (vocals) and Jugo Honda (drums).
They released an album called "The Unexpected Coming to Blackpool" (1998) containing 13 songs of different orientation, mostly based on alternative and pop sound.

P.S.

Singer Rehema Vuai is of Yugoslav-Tanzanian origin, and drummer Jugo Honda is Yugoslav-Japanese. Due to the unusual combination of his name and surname, he rode around for Rambus Amadeus with whom he played shortly in the beginning of 2000.
