The fact that there is an interest and a market for this distrubs me, you think we could put those resources towards I dont know literally anything else. Education, space travel, something else besides putting your penis in a toaster.
But If i really think about it I suppose they're all a means to an end. They could be working on this tech to give AI and machine learning a human-like vessel to use and interact with the world in the beginning and as it learns it will refine itself into a form that it feels is optimal for its evolution
I agree. It is my fear that technology does more to take away from our humanity than it does to add to it. Losing social skills and the ability to work with each other will be a great loss to our humanity indeed. Lets hope it doesn't get that far and limits are put in place before we get there.
