First Fully Autonomous Dental Surgery Performed By A Robot in Xian, China
According to a report published in South China Morning Post, a robot dentist installed two dental implants for a woman last Saturday, in what could be the world's first fully autonomous dental implant surgery.
This robot, called Yomi, was also approved by US FDA earlier this year. Successful procedure raises hopes technology could avoid problems caused by human error and help overcome shortage of qualified dentists.
