My Entry To Art Contest #8 Robot

Here is my digital art submission to the art contest hosted by @agneslaczo. If you want to join please see this link for details.

I started working on the background first. I used this deep green color for the surroundings I think there is some mystery and a hint of science to it. I also want to introduce a cog in the background which is my idea of steam punk.

I added a few more details to the buildings to achieve that cityscape, I made the greenish light in the sky more prominent then added some white smoke. There were three flying vehicles if you zoom in. You may notice I also started sketching the robot on another layer.

This is the finished look of the robot. I call him Bane. He looks like a pirate with a big hat and uneven sized claws and feet. He is mostly made out of scrap metals from old automobile junk. His hat has three crystals as power source. On his neck there is a cluster of red crystals growing.
