10-Point Road Trip Safety Checklist
To be certain you have the safest possible road trip this summer, consider the following 10-point road trip safety checklist.
- Pack a few cans of tire fix-a-flat.
- Bring a box with an assortment of tools to make repairs.
- Pack a roll of duct tape for emergencies.
- Keep a gallon of engine coolant on board for when the engine overheats.
- Bring a tire gauge and check all the tires each time you get gas.
- Fill washer fluid and have new wipers installed.
- Have the oil changed in the engine.
- Pack some road flares to alert drivers you may need some help on the side of the road.
- Keep at least one flashlight with new batteries in the car.
- Bring an empty gas can with you on the long road trip.
Before you go, come to the service center for a pre-road-trip check-up for your vehicle.
Thanks for the list. Not easy when you have so many other things to pack up on a road trip.
