Bansi River is an important river flowing in the middle of Bangladesh. The river is a river in Jamalpur, Tangail, Gazipur and Dhaka districts of the north-central region of Bangladesh. The length of the river is 239 kilometers, the average width is 49 meters, and the nature of the river is spiral. Identity number given by the Bangladesh Water Development Board or "Paubo" given b y the old Banshi river is the North-Central river.
