The River Jordan in Israel.
The Jordan River has it's source in the Golan Heights and flows into the Sea of Galilee. Here the water is clear and clean. It then flows out of the Sea of Galilee down into the Dead Sea. This section becomes very dirty.
As we were driving back from the Golan Heights we crossed the River Jordan. We looked up river and saw local Young Adults camping on the River Bank.
We made our way up river along a dirt road and had a swim. This photo is of my daughter jumping in from an overhanging tree. Locals camping on the shore. This was not an official Camp Site, just locals camping out in the open. What freedom!

As I recall , from Ancient Writings, swimming in the River Jordan , could cure Leprosy? Lovely Photo's.
You're absolutely correct! We certainly felt clean and refreshed after our swim.
A wonderful location to relax with the family. this is a convenient place for visitors to enjoy the natural atmosphere .
