Unconfirmed rumors are circulating about Coinbase carrying Ripple and some other alt-coins. At this point - it's pure speculation and Coinbase nor Ripple has said anything about it.

Japanese employers are experimenting with making it optional for employees to be paid in Bitcoin and other cryptos.
