Ripple's true price is not what Coinmarketcap shows

If you invested in Ripple and are keeping yourself updated simply by watching the price listed in Coincap or Coinmarketcap , this will disappoint you a little. Those website shows the average price that Ripple is traded among every exchanges, but in some places, it is traded for a lot higher than you bought it. In Korea (on Bithumb), Ripple now sells at 4$ when you could get it at around 2.70$ at any known exchange (Binance, Bittrex, Poloniex). So when you bought Ripple at 1.20$ for example, and you see that it's priced now at 3$, it probably only doubled. Take a look at this:

For some reason, Koreans are ok with paying more than the rest of the world, and the fact that they do increase the average showed in Coinmarketcap (because not only they buy it expensive, they also dominate the volume of Ripples traded).

Keep that in mind when thinking about what your XRP are worth.

Good information. thanks for sharing :)

This is crucial information when dealing with big amounts! Thanks for sharing!

Ripple falling down to #3 has made many of the panic sellers to sell off their XRPs. This has dropped the prices on at least some of the Indian exchanges. I am happy to increase my XRP investment due to this.
