AMEX Joins RippleNet!!
Hole-y Shit! It was just released that American Express will become the latest to join RippleNet!
Starting out, American Express FX International Payments will work with Santander UK, a British business bank out of London, to create the necessary channel to send transactions between the US and the UK. With the USA being UK's largest trading partner, it makes sense that they're going to target this channel first in order to create that "frictionless commercial global payment" that Ripple is known for.
Once this is in place, it'll open the door for AMEX to increase it's business presence in the UK. With faster and more secure payments cross border, and the ability to increase their customer base, choosing Ripple is a Win-Win for AMEX.
