Too bad its centralized, thus defeating the whole purpose of cryptocurrency. BTC and XRP aren't exactly competitors. Also, if the only metrics you care about are transaction speeds & low fees, there are couple of coins which are better than Ripple.
the problem is that even though ripple is faster and better - it was not created to be a currency in the meaning of Bitcoin.. However speculations may move up ripple price.. that is true
Ripple will cross bitcoin soon because xrp is much faster and cheaper than bitcoin
