Reducing the number of coin won't matter if there is no use of it.
XRP was advertised so far as the currency that will be used by all companies to pay the Ripple network service. I don't think it will ever happen. What's left is an empty shell and speculations with no foundation.
I don't throw money at a company without long term revenue. Everything that is happening on XRP is short term, short sighted.
