Ripple renames XRP investment arm Xpring to "#RippleX"
Ripple is renaming its XRP investment and development arm #Xpring as “RippleX”. According to Ripple's new blog post, Monica Long, the company's senior vice president of marketing, will serve as executive director of the newly branded subsidiary. Ripple says its strategy is to focus on giving developers the support they need to build projects on the XRP #Ledger and move the digital asset beyond the payment world. Ripple adds the following to its comments:

Also, Ripple for Good is renamed "Ripple Impact". Ripple Impact leads some of the San Francisco initiative's philanthropic, research and education efforts. Ripple Impact also collaborated with the company's University Blockchain Research Initiative (UBRI), which provides financial and technical resources to top universities worldwide to support research and development in crypto assets and digital payments.
In August, Ripple applied for the trademarks "RippleX" and "Ripple Impact". But at that time it was unclear what each name meant. During another management change, Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse said Ashish Birla, the company's senior vice president of product and enterprise development, will serve as CEO of #RippleNet, the financial institutions network that uses Ripple's technology to secure payments.
