Steve Ditko, legendary artist and Spider-Man co-creator, dies at 90 https://t.co/zPa5lzQspb

Would have been a great time to be a comic writer back then. They had a clean slate. No other huge super heroes to compare their characters too.

Writer or artist really. It feels like it was weird different time where being creative didn't necessarily pay off initially, it took a long time for their works to be appreciated. So many vintage comics were love stories or war stories that were more accepted than the superhero genre.

I would have loved to have seen how the writers and artists would go back and forth on how one would see things visually versus how the writer would be envisioning the feelings of a character more so than the looks. To be a fly on the wall with a younger Stan Lee and Steve Ditko doing that back and forth on Peter Parker.

Random: First Spidey Amazing Fantasy #15 was donated to the Library of Congress. I would love to see that some day https://blogs.loc.gov/loc/2008/04/library-of-congress-acquires-spider-mans-birth-certificate/

White out around title aged different so stands out on it, so cool.

Yes, it definitely was a different world back then.

I’m a 1980s child. I was reminiscing with my cousin, who grew up across the big city I grew up in, and we talked about just how much the world has changed about a year ago.

It’s pretty jaw dropping when you think about how far the human race has come, even over the last 30 years. Try to compare that to someone like Stan Lee, or a Steve Ditko. It’s not even close. Imagine the stories someone in their 90s could tell, especially a comic writer like those two!!!
